“My Dearest” Part 2 Breaks It’s Own Record; “Castaway Diva” Joins The Rating Race

“My Dearest” has broken its own record for part 2.

According to Nielsen Korea, the 16th episode of MBC’s Korean drama “My Dearest” (written by Hwang Jin Young, directed by Kim Sung Yong, Lee Han Joon, Cheon Soo Jin), which aired on the 28th, recorded a nationwide rating of 12%.

This is equivalent to the number one spot for all channels in the same time slot and the number one spot for all the kdramas that aired yesterday. The instantaneous peak viewership rate soared to 13.5%, and the 20 to 49 viewership rate, a key indicator of advertising and channel competitiveness, was 3.7%, ranking first among all programmes broadcast on Saturday.

The episode depicted the sad fate of Lee Jang Hyun (Nam Goong Min) and Yoo Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin), whose love deepened, but were forced to part ways once again.
However, at the end of the episode, Yoo Gil Chae announced her divorce to her husband Goo Soo Mu (Ji Seung Hyun), who was in Hanyang, making us look forward to an affectionate reunion with Lee Jang Hyun.

JTBC’s “Strong Girl Namsoon” dipped slightly to an average nationwide rating of 8.4% for it’s latest episode.

Meanwhile, the 12th episode of SBS’s “The Escape of the Seven,” which aired on the same day, recorded 5.6% (average nationwide rating), and the 1st episode of tvN’s “Castaway Diva” recorded 3.2% (average nationwide rating).
