“The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” Wi Ha-Joon reunites with Jung Rye-Won.
In episode 1 of tvN’s K-drama “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon,” Lee Joon-Ho (played by Wi Ha-Joon) and Seo Hye-Jin (played by Jung Rye-Won) reunited, causing excitement.
“Give me a break,” Seo Hye-Jin muttered as she recalled the words of the school teacher, Pyo Sang-Sub (Kim Song-Il), with whom she had a conflict over a Korean language subject.
At this point, Lee Joon-Ho appeared and asked, “Who are you talking to?”
“What? I was just thinking about you. I was looking at you,” Seo Hye-Jin said and pointed to the Hall of Fame with Lee Joon-Ho’s name on it.
Lee Joon-Ho said, “Ah. Hall of Fame. A title of honor earned at the age of twenty. Nothing in my life has given me as much joy as that,” he said, and Seo Hye-Jin added, “Don’t forget that I did that.”
Seo Hye-Jin said, “I’m so happy to see you. How long has it been since you’ve seen me?” To which Lee Jun-Ho replied, “I’m glad to see you too. We met last Teacher’s Day, and I was just passing by.”
“You’re way more welcoming than I thought you’d be. You look even happier than when I passed the exam.”
Seo Hye-Jin replied, “Not as much as then. That was a highlight of my life.”
“You should call me now,” she said. It turns out that Lee Joon-Ho’s contact number had been saved as “My Pride” by Seo Hye-Jin.
Seeing this, Lee Joon-Ho was touched, saying, “I feel like I can live well in the future,” and Seo Hye-Jin replied, “Of course. You can do anything.”
At the end of the episode, Lee Joon-Ho applied to become a new instructor at Seo Hye-Jin’s academy, which raised expectations.
