Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung Attends First Script Reading for “My Demon”

On Tuesday (October 17), a video of Kim Yoo Jung, Song Kang, Lee Sang Yi, Kim Hae Sook, Jo Hye Joo, and Kim Tae Hoon attending a script reading for SBS’s new Korean drama “My Demon” also known as Maidemon was released.

Kim Yoo Jung plays Do Do Hee, the heiress of the Mirae Group who trusts no one and is in love with the devil.

As an outsider in the Mirae Group, Do Do Hee realises the world early on and becomes cynical.

Cynical about love, her life changes beyond her wildest dreams when she enters into a contract with the demon Jung Gu Won.

Surrounded by enemies on all sides, she wonders whether the demon in front of him is a ‘saviour’ or a ‘destroyer’. Kim Yoo Jung portrays Do Do Hee in a variety of ways, from harsh to tender, delicate to strong.

Song Kang is set to make an epic transformation as Jung Goo Won, a perfect and deadly demon.

The demon Jung Goo Won has enjoyed eternal life by making a dangerous and sweet deal with humans whose current lives are in hell in exchange for their souls.

He has been a top predator for over 200 years, looking down on humans, until he becomes entangled with a very strange woman, Do Do Hee, and temporarily loses his powers.

Song Kang’s portrayal of a demon is fascinating as he protects Do Do Hee, who has stolen his powers, to continue living.

Lee Sang Yi plays the role of Mirae Investment’s representative Joo Seok Hoon, a nephew of Mirae Group founder Joo Cheon Sook (Kim Hae Sook). He is the only person with whom Do Hee feels a connection.

Kim Hae Sook plays Joo Cheon Sook, the person who turned Mirae Group into a leading conglomerate with her bare hands. Although she considers Do Hee special, she actually has a big secret behind her.

The production crew stated, “The characters are as unique as the fascinating story of a romance with the devil,” and added “The actors’ passionate performances exceed expectations and this K-drama will provide viewers a different level of romantic dopamine.”
