In the first episode of JTBC’s new Saturday drama “Behind Your Touch,” which premiered on the 12th of this month, Lee Min-ki, who plays the role of ace detective “Moon Jeong-yeol,” who is trying to get back to Gwangsudae as soon as possible by building a track record after being demoted from Gwangsudae in Seoul, captured viewers’ attention with his performance as a character with an unexpected force.
The episode depicted the demoted detective’s arrival in the crime-free rural town of Mujin. On his first day at the police station, he is told that there is a violent crime, but it turns out to be a case of a cow that freaked out after being vaccinated. Won Jong-mook, the captain of the homicide squad, tells him, “There is no stronger case,” and he vows to return to Gwangsu-daero, Seoul, as soon as possible.
Along the way, Jang-yeol also gets to see Bong Ye-bun (Han Ji-min) riding on the back of a cow, which makes him laugh out loud. Jang-yeol’s dizzying first encounter with Bong Ye-bun leads to an unlikely relationship.
She used her psychometric powers to arrest a pickpocket on the spot for trying to see into his past by touching his butt, and at the end of the episode, she was shown accidentally touching Lee Min Ki’s butt, after which he decided to shoulder throw her on the ground accusing her of being a pervert, amplifying our curiosity about what happens next.
Lee Min Ki did a great job dynamically portraying the character of Moon Yeol, who encountered unexpected things from the first day he stepped foot in the village of Mujin. We can’t wait to see what he will do in the upcoming episodes.
