KBS’s New Monday-Tuesday Kdrama “Love Song for Illusion” Will Premiere Today

“Love Song for Illusion” is a fantasy historical romance that tells the story of a man with two opposite personalities and the woman who loves him. It is based on the webtoon of the same name.

Park Ji-hoon takes on the challenge of playing two roles in one tv series, playing the opposite personalities of Sajo Hyun and Aek-hee. Hong Ye-ji plays Yeon-wol, a hapless royal granddaughter who loses her family at the hands of rebels and falls in love while dreaming of revenge.

“Love Song for Illusion” is written by Yoon Kyung-ah, the writer of “Brain,” “All About My Mo,” “Ms. Perfect,” “Girls’ Generation 1979,” and “Moment at Eighteen” among others. It will be directed by Lee Jung-seop (Bread, Love and Dreams, Healer, My Lawyer, Mr. Jo, Queen for Seven Days, Angel’s Last Mission: Love, Dali and the Cocky Prince).

It is the follow-up to “The Matchmakers,” which ended with the highest ratings of 5.8% (Nielsen Korea nationwide).

It will air every Monday and Tuesday at 10:10 p.m. from today. The drama’s production team encouraged viewers to watch, saying, “From the first episode, the turbulent narrative of ‘Sajo Hyun’ and ‘Yeonwol’ will unfold.”
