‘Comeback After Controversy’ Park Min-young’s New Kdrama “Marry My Husband” Starts Airing From Today

Actress Park Min-young has announced a new beginning.

The production presentation for tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Marry My Husband” was held online on the 1st.

The presentation was attended by Park Min-Young, Na In-Woo, Lee Yi-Kyung, Song Ha-Yoon, Lee Ki-Kwang, and PD Park Won-Kook.

“Marry My Husband,” which premieres at 8:50 p.m., is a drama that tells the story of Kang Ji-Won (Park Min-Young), who was murdered after witnessing her best friend and her husband’s affair, who returns to 10 years in the past to experience the second half of her life and bring her fate back to them.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, the drama is expected to be a hit with Park Min-young, who previously had box office success with her webtoon-based drama tvN’s “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”.

Park Min Young, who is returning to the drama after more than a year and three months since her last drama, said of her character, “Kang Ji-Won is a character who lives within the framework of a character who is kind and good, but has low self-esteem and lacks agency. Someone might say she’s a good person, but I interpreted her as a character who had a lot of things taken away from her. After being killed by her husband and best friend, she awakens and faces them for the second round.”

Park Min-young went to extraordinary lengths to lose weight a lot of weight to portray the character, especially when Kang Ji-won is battling cancer at the beginning of the film. “I thought it was a point that shouldn’t be taken lightly. “I thought it was a point that should never be taken lightly,” says Park, “and I had to think a lot about how I could portray her after acquiring as much information as possible. “It’s not something I would ever recommend,” she says, “but I did it for the sake of my character, and when I was filming, I only had to drink ionised water to keep me going.

“The production team was very considerate, so we shot the fighting scene first. After that, I had about two weeks to gain about five kilograms and came back,” she said.

“Now that I’m a little older, I thought about when I would be able to put all my passion into my character, and I decided to squeeze out one last big burst of strength,” she added.

As a character who takes revenge on her husband and best friend and lives a new life, she also foreshadowed her vicious transformation.

“I tried to portray the process of someone who has hit rock bottom trying to carve out their destiny in a delicate and dense way, not just from the outside,” Park said.

The director put a lot of points of Ji-won’s awakening in the ending, which will have a great impact with a very good OST.” “On the other hand, I played a venomous character who has no mercy and no forgiveness for those who are divided into enemies. I think Kang Ji-won was a lone wolf girl, but in the end, she was happy to receive a lot of love.”

Park Min-young is also expected to make a fresh start with her return from controversy. Last year, Park Min-young was rumoured to be in a passionate relationship with Mr. A, who is known to be a wealthy businessman, but they broke up just two days after Mr. A was revealed to be the actual owner of a virtual currency exchange that was suspected of embezzling funds and manipulating stock prices.

In this regard, Park Min Young said, “I think last year was a year when I was very ill, both physically and mentally. It was a short time, but I spent every day regretting it. Even when I had a brainwave test at the psychiatry department, I got a red signal in the guilt area,” she said.

“But then I learned a lesson about what my real job is and when I’m happiest. I’ve accepted everything now, and I really wanted to (apologise) for causing concern, and I’ll do my best as an actor so that I don’t get into trouble with other issues again.”

Na In Woo, who played the role of Yoo Ji-hyuk with Park Min-young, added to the excitement by saying, “I want to give her a score of 2 million out of 10, because she helped me a lot and I loved acting with her.”

Finally, PD Park said, “I think the charm of the drama is that the characters’ facial expressions change every minute and express their emotions. You will be able to meet the emotions and fun that webtoons cannot give you through the actors,” he said.
