On the ninth episode of JTBC’s “Strong Girl Namsoon,” broadcast on the 4th November, the mother-daughter duo of Hwang Geum Joo (played by Kim Jung Un) and Kangnam Soon (played by Lee Yoo Mi) almost had their identities revealed to Ryu Shi Oh (played by Byeon Woo Seok).
There was no drug-related information on the computer that Gangnam Soon obtained. Kang Hee Shik (Ong Seong Wu) assumed that the scale of drug distribution would be large, and speculated that the reason for establishing Doogo Coin was to focus on overseas distribution.
Kangnam Soon and Kang Hee Shik investigated the items exported by Doogo. While Kangnam Soon searched for export items, Kang Hee Shik decided to look for clues at the Heritage Club.
Posing as Jamie Choi, a mergers and acquisitions specialist, Kang Hee Shik enlisted the help of Hwang Geum Joo to infiltrate the Heritage Club and set up listening devices and cameras.
Geum Joo didn’t stop taunting Ryu Shi Oh (Byeon Woo Seok) with questions about the source of funding for Dugo. Starting with Russian mafia member Pavel, Hwang Geum Joo provoked him by calling him a “game breaker” and shattered his composure. Sensing Ryu Shi Oh’s anger, Kangnam Soon tried to defuse the situation, but Ryu Shi Oh said, “Hwang Geum Joo is so annoying that I want to kill her,” which created a strange atmosphere.
Kangnam Soon continued her investigation, also subduing Madam Kim’s (Park Hye Na) sabotage efforts. She approached Baek Da Ri (Lee Hee Jin) to find out what was being exported, but she was reluctant to talk about it, saying that it wasn’t something a rookie could see. Kangnam Soon switched tactics to win Baek’s favour and found out the item ‘CTA 4885’, is controlled by Ryu Shi Oh.
Ryu Shi Oh also realised that both Che Chek and Hwang Geum Joo’s daughter, Kangnam Soon, had something in common: they were strong. Ryu Shi Oh visits Li Hwa Ja (Choi Hee Jin) and threatens her, but Li Hwa Ja hides Kangnam Soon’s identity from him, making him curious about her.
In the meantime, Gil Joong Gan (Kim Hae Sook) went to the airport to settle the matter with Hwang Kook Jong (Lim Ha Ryong), whom she hadn’t heard from in 10 years. After blasting Hwang Kook-jong for deciding to live and die as a good husband for the rest of his life.
Ryu Shi Oh asked if she could kill the Hwang Geum Joo for him, which caused Kangnam Soon to look puzzled. Ryu Shi Oh then said the terrifying words, “Don’t worry, she’s already dead.” Soon after, the scene of Hwang Geum Joo’s car accident was shown, shocking the audience.
