The 2023 Asia Content Awards & Global OTT Awards were held on the 8th at the Haeundae Cinema Center Outdoor Theatre in Busan.
Lee Jung Ha, who was announced as the winner of the Male Newcomer Award, took the stage with an expression of utter surprise.
“I would like to dedicate this honour to my “Moving” family and my agency NAMU Actors,” he said. “I’ve been dreaming of becoming an actor since I was a kid, and I really wondered what it would be like to stand at an award ceremony. I’m so nervous, but I’m so happy,” he said, adding, “I’m going to realise the meaning of this award and become an actor who can follow in the footsteps of my wonderful seniors. I will be a good person and a good son to my parents, who are probably crying right now, so that their tears will not be in vain and will be valuable.”
The Female Newcomer Award went to “Moving’s” Go Yoon Jung. However, she was unable to attend due to her schedule, so Lee Jung Ha accepted the trophy on stage. Lee Jung Ha said, “Go Youn Jung felt very sorry and sad for not being able to be here. I will pass on the overwhelming emotions I felt here to her,” he said.
The 2023 Asian Content Awards & Global OTT Awards recognise outstanding TV, OTT and online content from Korea and across Asia. This year, the categories will be expanded to include global content from across Asia, creating a more differentiated content award ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Busan International Film Festival will be held until the 13th of this month at the Film Centre.
