“Connection” Character Introduction:
Ji Sung will play the role of Jang Jae Kyung, a calm and methodical captain of the narcotics team of the Metropolitan Police Department. Jang Jae Kyung is a man who inherits 5 billion won from the life insurance policy of a high school friend who chose to die.
Jeon Mi Do portrays Oh Yoon Jin, who, after being unfairly fired from a major daily newspaper, returns to her hometown to work as an economics editor at a humble newspaper. Oh Yoon Jin is said to be a character who shows friendship when she learns that her high school friend has died and left her 5 billion won in insurance money, just as her husband and children have emigrated to a foreign country and she is supporting herself.
About the Cast:
Jeon Mi Do is best known for her role in Hospital Playlist Season 1 & 2 as Chae Song Hwa. Before making her acting debut in 2018, she used to work in plays and musicals. Jeon made her musical debut in 2006 with Mr Mouse. In her acting debut she played a minor role in Mother (2018) and made her film debut in Metamorphosis in 2019. Her big break came with Hospital Playlist where she played Dr. Chae Song Hwa, an associate professor of neurosurgery. She was one of five main leads. The kdrama got rave reviews from critics and audiences. Both seasons ended with over 14 percent nationwide viewership ratings. She last starred in a JTBC kdrama “Thirty-Nine” along with Son Ye Jin and Kim Ji Hyun.

Ji Sung made his acting debut in 1999 kdrama “Kaist”. His big breakthrough came in 2003 kdrama “All In” starring as second male lead. The drama was popular and made Ji Sung a hallyu star. Ji Sung is married to Lee Bo Young who he met on the set of “Save Last Dance for Me”, they confirmed their relationship in 2007 and got married six years later. Ji Sung has won the Grand Prize (Daesang) twice for his work in kdramas Kill Me Heal Me (2015) and Defendant (2017). He last starred in a dual role in Adamas (2022).
