tvN’s new Saturday drama “See You in My 19th Life” (directed by Lee Na Jung / scripted by Choi Young Rim), which premieres on June 17, released a two-shot of Shin Hye Sun (Ban Ji Eum) going straight for the kill and Ahn Bo Hyun (Moon Seo Ha) hitting a power iron wall.
“See You in My 19th Life” is a reincarnation romance that unfolds as the 19th life’s Ji Eum, who remembers her past life, visits the one person she must meet, Seo Ha. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by Lee Hye, who has a 9.98 rating on Naver Webtoon and 700 million global views.
In the drama, Shin Hye Sun plays the role of “Ji Eum,” a woman in her 19th life who remembers her past life, and Ahn Bo Hyun plays “Moon Seo Ha,” a second-generation chaebol who can’t forget his first love. Shin Hye Sun, an undefeated goddess of fantasy romance, and Ahn Bo Hyun, who will showcase a new charm completely different from his time as a military prosecutor Doberman, are expected to play the main characters in a thrilling reincarnation romance.
In the released stills, Ban Ji Eum is making a beeline for Moon Seo Ha, whom she has met ‘again’ in her 19th life, regardless of time or place.
However, her boss, Moon Seo Ha, is in iron-walled mode, unaware that her new employee, Ji Eum, is going straight ahead. He squeezes his eyes shut and holds his forehead with his hand as if he’s a crane. The spear and shield-like pairing of Ji Eum and Seo Ha’s tiki-taka makes the audience laugh and wonder if she can disarm Seo Ha.
In the meantime, Shin Hye Sun, who plays the role of ‘Ban Ji Eum’, said at the production presentation, “I had to make a bold move (to meet him again). Moon Seo Ha doesn’t accept it and doubts it first, but it’s better to push ahead with this style than measure it,” and said, “Ji Eum knows this very well. After all, I’ve lived 19 times,” foreshadowing her seasoned, bold, and outspoken charm.
