On the 8th episode of tvN’s Korean drama “Twinkling Watermelon” (written by Jin Soo Wan, directed by Son Jung Hyun, Yoo Beom Sang), a lifesaver will appear to save Yi Chan (played by Choi Hyun Wook), who is covered in blood after being attacked by bullies.
Earlier, Yi Chan was caught up in a group of bullies while searching for Eun Gyeol (Ryeoun), who hasn’t been in touch with him since he left home. The bullies ruthlessly overpowered Yi Chan.
In the meantime, Yi Chan after getting beaten up called out to Eun Gyeol, as he remembered all the good times together with him.
What’s more, Yi Chan’s hearing, which Eun Gyeol has been so protective of, seems to be suffering.
The creepy tinnitus that suddenly hit his ears reminded us of his older version, Eun Gyeol’s father (played by Choi Won Young) and the scar on his back that was left behind, especially since Eun Gyeol has been away from him.
In the midst of this, a photo released shows Yi Chan collapsing from the pain through his body. There is no one to call for help in the dark alleyway.
At that moment, a figure is spotted approaching in the distance, catching our attention. Yi Chan’s new friend Cheong Ah (Shin Eun Soo) has followed him into the alleyway, and Eun Yoo (Seol In Ah), a time traveller pretending to be Se Kyung (Seol In Ah), happens to be passing nearby.
As Cheong Ah almost crashed into Eun Yoo’s scooter earlier, foreshadowing a strange connection between the two girls, we’re left to wonder which of them was the first to spot Yi Chan.
Episode 8 of tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Twinkling Watermelon”, which will reveal the fate of Choi Hyun Wook in a crisis situation, airs on the 17th at 8:50pm.
