The highly anticipated 2024 drama series “Graduation” (writer Park Kyung Hwa, director Ahn Pan Seok) has confirmed the casting of Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Joon.
“Graduation” tells the story of a secret, sweet real-life romance between veteran cram school instructor Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won) and her quirky student Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon), who returns after a 10 year to stir up her heart. The secret midnight romance that begins when the lights go out in Daechi cram school, and the colourful stories of cram school instructors that we didn’t know about are shown.
The drama is the new work of director Ahn Pan Seok, who has created melodramatic works such as “Something in the Rain,” “One Spring Night,” and “Secret Love Affair.”
Jung Ryeo Won plays Seo Hye Jin, a 14-year veteran Korean language instructor who achieved the “Miracle of Daechi.” Sje is a quiet competitor who never gives up. As she ponders her past dreams and her life after leaving the lecture hall, Lee Joon Ho, a “former student” who she sent to a prestigious university with all her might, appears for the first time in 10 years and throws her life into turmoil.
Jung Ryeo Won on her role said, “I’m excited to return to romance drama after a long time. I’m very happy and grateful to have worked with a great co-star, as well as director Ahn Pan Seok, whom I’ve always admired. I will do my best to make a good drama,” she said, expressing her love for the K-drama.
Wi Ha Joon plays the role of Lee Joon Ho, a new instructor who disrupts Seo Hye Jin’s daily life. He left his job at a large company that guarantees him a lucrative career and suddenly returns to the academy where Seo Hye Jin teaches.
“I was drawn to the charm of the characters, and I found the story with the details of everyday emotions interesting. Above all, I’m really happy to meet director Ahn Pan Seok again through this korean drama, whom I met in “Something in the Rain,” and I’m very excited to experience the joy of being on the set,” he said.
The Korea drama series “Graduation” is scheduled to be released in 2024.
