New Stills Of Lee Yoo Mi And Ong Seong Wu In “Strong Girl Namsoon” Have Been Released

On the 27th, JTBC’s new Saturday drama “Strong Girl Namsoon” released stills from the first meeting and collaboration between Gang Nam Soon (played by Lee Yoo Mi) and passionate detective Kang Hee Sik (played by Ong Seong Wu).

“Strong Girl Namsoon” is a comic crime drama in which three generations of mother-daughters, who are born with superhuman like strength, uncover the truth behind a new drug crime centered in Gangnam.

Six years after “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” which broke new ground in the K-female heroine genre, “Strong Girl” returns with an expanded worldview and is a highly anticipated series that has been generating a lot of buzz since the production stage.

Writer Baek Mi Kyung, who created the first female heroine in Korean drama, and director Kim Jung Shik of ‘Work Later, Drink Now’ joined forces.

Expectations are high for the intriguing encounters between the three mothers, Lee Yoo Mi, Kim Jung Eun, and Kim Hae Sook. Ong Seong Wu, Byun Woo Seok, and Lee Seung Joon also play a major role.

Lee Yoo Mi plays Gang Nam Soon, who is a sixth cousin to Do Bong Soon and has flown from Mongolia to find her parents. Having unexpectedly become an international orphan in Mongolia as a child, she is expected to play a strong role as a “heroine” who finally returns to Korea to fight new drug crimes alongside his mother Hwang Geum Joo (Kim Jung Eun), and grandmother Gil Jung Gan (Kim Hae Sook).

Ong Seong Wu plays Kang Hee Shik, the youngest cop in Gangnam’s District. A fast and fresh cop who has just graduated from the police academy, he meets a strong woman, Gang Nam Soon, and begins to feel curiosity and admiration for her, along with a huge culture shock.

The released photo captures the moment when Gang Nam Soon and Kang Hee Shik began their intriguing relationship. They are standing in the baggage claim area of an airport.

As soon as she sees Kang Hee Shik, a police officer, a smile spreads across her face.
In another photo, there is a literal “bagful” of luggage between them, which Gang Nam Soon has brought with her from Mongolia.

We can’t help but wonder what Gang Nam Soon’s suspicious belongings are, and what the promise is between the two of them as they cross their pinky fingers with a determined look on their faces.

We also see Kang Hee Shik, who has started his career as a police officer, and Gang Nam Soon, who has become his reliable partner.

They sneak into the crime scene as employees. Gang Nam Soon’s eyes burn with a sense of justice, and Kang Hee Shik’s attempts to calm her down make us smile.

It adds to the curiosity of how the K-drama will portray their exhilarating collaboration to eliminate the new drug crime that has hit the world.

In the meantime, attention is also drawn to the changes in their relationship, which will give each other new “strength” and courage that they have never felt before.

Lee Yoo Mi boasts of her chemistry with Ong Seong Wu, saying, “I felt comfortable and close to him in an instant.”

He also added, “We had a lot of fun joking around with each other and overcoming difficult scenes together. We were able to act with good chemistry until the end,” raising expectations for their unique chemistry.

JTBC’s new Saturday drama “Strong Girl Namsoon” will premiere on 7 October at 10:30 pm.
