“Lovely Runner” stars Byun Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Yoon finally confirmed their feelings for each other with an affectionate kiss.
However, the drama shocked viewers with an ending in which Byun Woo-Seok was attacked by a serial killer.
On the eighth episode of tvN’s Korean drama “Lovely Runner,” which aired on the 30th of last month, Ryu Sun-Jae (played by Byun Woo-Seok) and Im-Sol (played by Kim Hye-Yoon) confirmed their love for each other.
The 8th episode received a viewership rating of 4.1 percent (Nielsen Korea nationwide).
Ryu Sun-Jae and Im Sol affectionately reunited after 15 years and asked about each other lives, Im-Sol decided to stay with him all night because she was worried that something bad would happen to Ryu Sun-Jae like in the past after the concert.
Ryu Sun-Jae was curious about Im-Sol’s sincerity in wanting to spend the night with him, but he didn’t want to be separated from her, so he said, “Okay, let’s stay together,” and accepted.
The two arrived at the hotel bar to spend the night together.

However, the fact that they were together was spotted by reporters, so Im-Sol picked up Ryu in her car and drove to his house.
“I can’t leave him alone tonight,” Im-Sol vowed and informed her mum that she would be staying overnight.
Ryu Sun-Jae couldn’t keep his heart from beating out of control because of Im-Sol’s assertion, “I’m not coming home today.”
Eventually, Im-Sol told Ryu, “I’m afraid you’re going to die tonight, and I’m afraid I’m going to regret leaving you alone, so I followed you home,” she said heartbreakingly.
Ryu Sun-Jae, on the other hand, vented his emotions on Im-Sol, who had pushed him away, saying, “But why are you worrying about me now?”
To make matters worse, a drunken Baek In-Hyuk came to visit Ryu Sun-Jae and said, “Have you still not forgotten Im-Sol? What’s the point of getting over her?” and scolded Ryu Sun-Jae for not being able to forget his first love for 15 years.
After a falling out, Im-Sol found a time capsule hidden under Ryu Sun-Jae’s bed and a clock that he had put in it, and their affectionate love was heartbreaking.
“I liked you too, and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you how I felt then, and I’m sorry I hurt you, and I’m sure it doesn’t make sense to say this now, but I couldn’t help it, and it was painful, and it hurt, and I wanted to tell you when I saw you again, that I liked you too. I missed you so badly, Sun-Jae, and now you’re here,” she said, exploding all the emotions she had been holding in.
Im-Sol’s confession ignited the heart of Ryu Sun-Jae, her true love of 15 years.
Ryu Sun-Jae chased after her and asked her about her current feelings, saying, “So what you’re saying is that you felt the same way as me back then, right? So what about now?”
Ryu Sun-Jae’s 15-year crush finally became his love, and the two began a secret romance, saving each other’s names as ‘♥♥♥’ and ‘Soli♥’ on their mobile phones.
However, a crisis came to shake up their love.
Ryu Sun-Jae was attacked, and the identity of the attacker was shockingly revealed to be a man in his 40s who had been imprisoned for murder in 2009 and had just been released from prison a few days earlier – the same serial killer who had tried to take Im-Sol’s life 15 years earlier.
The scene of Im-Sol being stunned by the news was intercut with the scene of Ryu Sun-Jae entering the operating theatre in a critical situation.
