Yoona has become the embodiment of cool because to her contagious smile and girl next door attitude.
Yoona, a member of the enduringly popular girl group Girls’ Generation, has successfully balanced her acting and singing careers.
She continues to be the all-time favorite idol for many people. She has pushed herself as an actor, always honing her art and abilities.
These five Korean dramas with Yoona showcase her development as an actor.
King the Land K-drama
Since she was a young child, Cheon Sa Rang (Yoona), who is hardworking and always cheerful, has wanted to work at the King Hotel.
Sa Rang is one of their most sought-after workers, and because of her kind demeanor, she gets promoted from concierge to the highly sought-after staff at the luxurious “King The Land,” much to the chagrin of some of her coworkers.
The pompous top manager of King Hotel and heir apparent, Gu Won (Lee Junho), has never been fond of smiles since he believes they conceal malice.
Gu Won is first confused when he can’t seem to get Sa Rang out of his brain after becoming tired of her and her radiant smile.
Soon after, the cynic Gu Won starts to smile everytime he sees Sa Rang and expresses his emotions to her in his own clever yet endearing ways.
“King The Land,” a simple romantic comedy, succeeds because of the intense connection between the two characters.
Unquestionably at ease with one another, Junho and Yoona share a realistic and comfortable on-screen relationship.
These two are completely in tune with one another, whether they are acting comedic or romantic.
Big Mouth K-drama
Lawyer Park Chang Ho (Lee Jong-Suk), who has an appalling victory percentage, is shortly tasked with taking on a murder case.
He chews off more than he can chew because of his “Big Mouth.” He finds himself in jail after being nicknamed the brilliant con artist “Big Mouse” over night.
His wife, Go Mi Ho (Yoona), is a determined nurse who has put in a lot of effort to support her husband’s legal career and may be the troubleshooter.
Despite being tired of the decisions he has made and their current circumstances, the passionately devoted Mi Ho makes the decision to take care of her family on her own.
The gripping thriller “Big Mouth” holds your attention with its tight storytelling and excellent performances.
As Yoona captures Mi Ho’s shrewdness and perseverance so well, it wouldn’t be incorrect to argue that this is one of her greatest portrayals of the character.
Despite having less screen time than anticipated, Yoona and Lee Jong Suk pair well together and are excellent together for the whole broadcast.
The K2 K-drama
Ji Chang-Wook plays Kim Je Ha, a former soldier who is currently on the run as a fugitive.
He has been unfairly accused by a group of very powerful and nefarious people of killing his lover.
He finds himself in a confusing and dangerous struggle with powerful politicians in an attempt to defend his innocence.
An Na (Yoona), the presidential candidate’s illegitimate daughter, is at the center of it all.
An Na gets Je Ha assigned to be her bodyguard, but he understands that she needs protection from her own family, particularly from Choi Yoo Jin (Song Yoon-Ah), her father’s legal wife, who views An Na as a hindrance to their political aspirations.
The distant Je Ha sees himself watching over and taking care of An Na in the most loving way imaginable since she has severe post-traumatic disorder and anxiety.
A charming tale of love blossoms between the two, who, despite their shared past traumas, find consolation and comfort in one another.
Even though Ji Chang-Wook plays the crucial role of the incredibly attractive secret agent Je Ha to perfection, An Na still has equal significance.
In contrast to the blazing fierceness between Je Ha and Yoo Jin, Yoona’s character is a quiet presence; she is a fragile and humble heroine who stands up for herself in her own way.
There were other heartwarming moments in this drama as well, such when Je Ha gave in to An Na’s desire for ramyun and stole kisses under a cover.
Love Rain K-drama
Photographer Seo Joon (Jang Geun-Suk) is in high demand; he has a flirty demeanor and has a playful side.
However, he falls deeply in love with Ha Na (Yoona), a happy and lively young girl.
Unbeknownst to the two, the mother of Ha Na and the father of Seo Joon had previously had romantic feelings for one another, but things didn’t work out.
But as Ha Na and Seo Joon see how mysteriously their connection is intertwined with their parents’, they feel history could be repeating itself.
Will their parents’ happiness require them to give up their love?
“Love Rain” transports viewers back to an earlier era of romantic bliss, yearning, and heartache.
The drama has a really nostalgic vibe to it as it alternates between the 1970s and the present.
In addition, the adorable chemistry between Yoona and Jang Geun-Suk makes this drama the ideal watch.
The King Loves K-drama
The Crown Prince, Wang Won (Im Siwan), is a power-hungry and incredibly ambitious man. His bodyguard Wang Rin (Hong Jong-Hyun) is his closest buddy and most dependable ally.
Then there is Eun San (Yoona), who at an early age is mistaken for a handmaiden despite being the daughter of the richest man in Goryeo.
The three are inseparable, but a complex love triangle arises when Wang Won and Wang Rin both acknowledge they have fallen in love with her.
Which of the three—aspiration, friendship, or love—would you pick? It becomes difficult to support Wang Won or Wang Rin since the stakes are so high for each of them.
Yoona and Im Siwan also have a cute chemistry.
