“30 Days” Has Topped The Daily Korean Box Office For 10 Consecutive Days

According to the Korean Film Council’s Integrated Movie Ticketing System on the 12th, “30 Days” (directed by Nam Dae Joong) drew 39,780 viewers on the day, bringing the cumulative total to 895,690.

“30 Days” is a comedy about Jung Yeol (Kang Ha Neul) and Na Ra (Jung So Min), who during their marriage have grown to hate each other due to their personality differences.

They decide to get a divorce. But, on the day that they applied for a divorce, they got into a car accident. When they wake up at the hospital, they have both lost their memories and do not remember each other.

In second place on its second day of release, “Hopeless” (director Kim Chang Hoon) attracted 18,248 viewers on the same day, bringing the cumulative total to 79,116.

“Hopeless” also known as Hwaran tells the story of Yeon Gyu (Hong Xa Bin), a boy who wants to escape his hellish reality, who meets the middle boss of an organisation, Chi Gun (Song Joong Ki), and joins him in a dangerous world.

“Hopeless” was officially invited to the 76th Cannes Film Festival’s Notable Perspectives and received favourable reviews. It was also invited to the 25th Busan International Film Festival.

In third and fourth place were “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” (director Kim Sung Sik), which was watched by 12,869 people, and “Boston 1947” (director Kang Je Gyu), which attracted 9,444 people.

In fifth place was “Miss Fortune” (directed by Lee Sung Jun), starring Uhm Jung Hwa, with 8053 viewers.

The film is a crime entertainment film about Ji Hye (Uhm Jung Hwa), an expert operator with a flamboyant personality, who gets caught up in unintended events while planning her last big heist.
